Pre-register devices to access CWRU network

Case Western Reserve University’s ultra-high-speed wired network enables the campus community to connect to the Internet at speeds of one-gigabit per second.

Laptop and desktop computers, as well as gaming consoles and Blu-ray players, must be registered before accessing the wired network. First-year students can complete this requirement on move-in day, but to use their devices as soon as they arrive on campus, they can pre-register their devices at case.edu/its/devreg.

The university also has a fast and secure wireless network. Students can connect to “CaseWireless” from laptops, smartphones, tablets or media players to access a fast and secure wireless connection anywhere on campus. When students first access CaseWireless, they will be asked to sign-in using their network ID and password, as well as accept one or two certificates that encrypt their connection.

Students can receive assistance day or night with registration or any other technology service by visiting help.case.edu or by calling the Information Technology Services desk at 216.368.4357.
