For those trying to make healthy lifestyle changes to prevent type 2 diabetes, Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Nutrition offers the PreventT2 lifestyle change program. With Prevent T2, a trained lifestyle coach and fellow participants will encourage enrollees to make healthy changes that will last a lifetime.
This program will help participants:
- Make healthier food choices without giving up the foods they love;
- Add physical activity to their lives, even with limited time;
- Deal with stress;
- Cope with challenges that can derail their hard work—such as how to choose healthier options when eating out; and
- Get back on track—because everyone slips now and then.
A virtual information session will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10, from noon to 1 p.m.
The program will begin Wednesday, Jan. 17, with sessions held from noon to 1 p.m.
