PRCHN’s Darcy Freedman presents on developing, implementing healthy food incentive programs

Darcy Freedman, associate professor of epidemiology, biostatistics and social work and associate director of the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods (PRCHN), presented a national webinar Jan. 29 on “Developing, Implementing & Sustaining Healthy Food Incentive Programs at Farmers’ Markets.”

The webinar was sponsored through the Iowa State University extension “Creating Healthier Communities.”

Her presentation also offered guidance for engaging key stakeholders in healthy food incentive program development as well as challenges and opportunities for this type of intervention.
