PRCHN’s Erin Ogden named Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year

Erin Ogden, a project manager at the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods (PRCHN), was honored with the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award for 2024 by the Ohio Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Since 2022, Ogden has been an integral part of the PRCHN, where she works on the Nourish and MealSim projects under the guidance of Melissa Prescott.

Ogden’s commendable track record includes previous management of community nutrition activities funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health initiative. Her partnership with the PRCHN began in 2020 as a research consultant around nutrition policies in local food pantries.

Ogden holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University and is a distinguished registered dietitian. She is a preceptor for two Cleveland dietetic internships: CWRU’s MS in Public Health Nutrition Dietetic Internship and Cleveland Clinic’s Dietetic Internship Program. She has been the Legislation and Public Policy Chair for the Greater Cleveland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (GCAND) since 2020 and serves on GCAND’s Nominating Committee.

The award ceremony is scheduled for the 2024 OAND Annual Conference on April 12 in Cincinnati.
