Research suggests that in the short term, mindfulness can improve student mindfulness, stress and well-being, faculty confidence in integrating mindfulness into their classes, and the classroom experience for both faculty and students.
Are you interested in mindfulness and meditation? Would you like to learn more about those techniques and how to use them in your classroom to enhance the student learning experience?
If so, consider participating in the Mindfulness Matters training project, which will begin in December with three mindfulness training sessions led by Suzanne Rusnak, an experienced mindfulness instructor and practitioner.
This training will prepare faculty members to integrate brief mindfulness activities into their weekly classroom experience. Participation in the research portion of this project also will be an option for interested faculty.
The sessions will be held Dec. 13, Jan. 4 and Jan. 10 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
