Origins Science Scholars—“Sauropod Dinosaurs: Long Necks and Peculiar Claws”

The Institute for the Science of Origins and the Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will offer the Origins Science Scholars series this fall. During this program, members of the community engage with each other and with leading scholars of the origins sciences to investigate everything from the big bang to the developing mind and emerging life. Each evening begins with a presentation by a world-class researcher, followed by dinner and open discussion among all the participants.

The first installment of the series will be held today (Oct. 15) with a talk by Lee Hall titled “Sauropod Dinosaurs: Long Necks and Peculiar Claws.” The event will begin with coffee and cookies at 5:30 p.m., followed by a lecture and Q&A session at 6 p.m. Dinner and discussion will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. The event will be at the Tinkham Veale University Center.

Registration for a single lecture costs $44 for Lifelong Learning members or $52 for non-members. The full series costs $211 for Lifelong Learning members and $231 for non-members.

The cost of the event includes parking and dinner.
