Yehonatan Indursky lecture on Autonomies

The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host Yehonatan Indursky, producer of the popular Netflix series Shtisel, for a lecture on his current series: Autonomies. This remote lecture will be held Tuesday, March 16, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Indursky, a filmmaker and celebrated screenwriter, will speak about Autonomies, a dystopian drama set in an alternate reality of present-day Israel. A nation torn and divided by a wall into the secular “State of Israel,” with Tel Aviv as its capital, and the “Haredi Autonomy” in Jerusalem, run by the ultraOrthodox. Indursky will discuss the conception of the show, and the reality of the ultraOrthodox communities in Israel.

Autonomies is available on Amazon Prime. Access to the mini-series will be provided to those who have registered for this lecture one week prior.

This lecture is supported by the Herbert and Marianna Luxenberg Siegal College Israel Lecture Fund of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. The series is offered in partnership with the Cleveland Israel Arts Connection a program of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
