On Monday, we showed you a picture that looked like something straight out of a science fiction novel. Well, that science fiction is a reality on our campus at Case Western Reserve University’s SunFarm, part of our Solar Durability and Lifetime Extension Center.
More than a dozen solar trackers are found on the university’s west campus, near the former home of the Mt. Sinai Medical Center. The trackers connect to the region’s electrical grid, but the trackers also serve as a way to study how these technologies hold up to laboratory-accelerated testing and real-world environmental exposure.
