This weekend marks yet another Science Fiction Marathon, hosted by the CWRU Film Society. The tradition actually began 37 years ago—in 1976, according to the Little Blue Book—although the Film Society notes it is the 38th event.
The nearly 30-hour-long nonstop film fest traditionally takes place the Friday and Saturday of the first week of class in the spring semester. This year, the first film, John Carter, begins Jan. 18 at 8 p.m., and the final film, Watchmen, will begin at 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.
