Walktober is coming back

With autumn’s cool temperatures just around the corner, faculty and staff are encouraged to take advantage of the weather and views in the Walktober fitness campaign, offered by the Wellness Program.

In this 31-day challenge, participants will experience some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes, fun festivals and events, and autumn favorites as they make physical activity part of their daily routine.

Individuals can log their activity using an activity tracker or by manually entering any other exercise (cycling, weight training, yoga, swimming, etc.) into the step converter.

Participants also will receive a daily quiz question, walking facts, recipes, articles, daily emails to motivate and more. There also will be an interactive message board.

Knit CWRU winter hats will be awarded to a random selection of 25 participants who successfully complete the program. All are encouraged, but not required, to join a team for further motivation.

Registration for Walktober begins today (Sept. 20) and step logging starts Friday, Oct. 1.
