University Farm to offer Yoga in Nature classes this summer; register now

For the first time, Case Western Reserve University’s Squire Valleevue and Valley Ridge Farms will offer Yoga in Nature classes this summer.

The class will be offered twice a week: Mondays and Thursdays June 20-July 25 from 6 to 7 p.m. There will not be class Monday, July 4.

Staff member and yoga instructor Lyndy Rutkowski, who has practiced yoga for more than 18 years, will lead the classes. She strives to create a class where students feel calm, strong and free. Her classes are designed to be approachable for beginners, as well as challenging for advanced students. The Yoga in Nature classes will integrate elements of yoga that Rutkowski discovered during her travels throughout the U.S., Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Jamaica and the Caribbean.

The cost is $150 for 10 classes (paid with registration) or $20 for drop-in. Each class will be limited to 30 participants. A minimum of 10 participants for the full 10-week session is required to offer the course. Participants must be at least 16 years old to register for the course.

The class will be held at the outdoor space at the November Meeting Center, weather permitting. In case of rain, the class will be moved inside the meeting center.

Registration is available online at students.case.edu/farm/education/yoga.fbsx.
