Thwing Center will undergo interior and exterior construction projects this summer

Thwing Center will undergo multiple construction projects—both interior and exterior—this summer.

Work in the ballroom began Monday, May 15, and is expected to be completed in mid-August. The exterior construction involves replacing sections of the roof and masonry work. Exterior work will begin Monday, May 22, and continue through late September.

The construction staging area will be fenced in on the east side of Thwing Center, between the building and Mather House. The area will be busy with vehicles and large mechanical equipment. Pedestrian traffic will be directed around the building and appropriate signs will be installed.

Pedestrian traffic will be maintained around the entire building and appropriate signage will be installed.

Facilities Services and the Planning, Design and Construction Department will manage the projects.
