“The Ecolympics”

Help Case Western Reserve University win the Campus Race to Zero Waste competition, a national eight-week recycling competition among several colleges and universities to promote waste reduction in our campus communities. Reducing waste is a big deal at CWRU. We’re up to a 22% diversion rate, but we can do better.

Over the next eight weeks, the Office of Energy & Sustainability will host events and activities to raise awareness about proper recycling, increase recycling efforts and reduce waste generation.

Members of the community are invited to kick off this effort during “The Ecolympics,” an Olympics-themed event held during E-Week Friday, Feb. 23, from 2:10 to 3:10 p.m. in Bingham Building, Room 240. Participants in this event will have the opportunity to win prizes. Doughnuts from Koko Bakery will be provided.
