Take advantage of extended hours, special resources for finals studying at Kelvin Smith Library

Kelvin Smith Library facilitates learning, provides proper research tools and offers students a comfortable place to study. With finals approaching, more amenities will be available to accommodate study needs.

Librarian on call

Today (April 26) and tomorrow (April 27) from 3 to 7 p.m., a Kelvin Smith Library research services librarian will be available to assist students in finding specific resources, conducting research and managing other aspects of the research process.

Extended Cramelot hours

On the university’s designated reading days (April 26-27), Cramelot will be open until 11 p.m. for students’ caffeine and snack necessities.

Therapy dogs

Kelvin Smith Library will have visits from therapy dogs throughout the week to provide some much-needed love and snuggling—both of which prompt a release of the feel-good, stress-relieving hormones serotonin, prolactin and oxytocin.

Color our collections

You know those adult coloring books that are everywhere, like the supermarket checkout? Well, Kelvin Smith Library has upped the ante with coloring pages, created by digitizing some pieces of art from the special collections and archives.

Students can head to the Hatch Reading Room from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays to get a quick study break. The Hatch Reading Room also is a quiet study space. Students can take their coloring pages with them to finish throughout the week or leave it for display.

More study space

Kelvin Smith Library will open up the lower level classrooms to provide additional study space for individual students and groups. Rooms LL06A, LL06B and LL01 are all available 24/7 through Wednesday, May 4.
