Summer positions available in local foods and farming

The Center for Civic Engagement & Learning will hire two AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associates to build capacity for the local food movement and community gardening in Cleveland. These positions are funded through the Ohio Campus Compact’s Summer Associate Program and will allow two students to work full-time for 10 weeks to enhance local projects.

The students will work with the University Farm, the Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Green Corps program, Refugee Response, and Cleveland Crops.

The program will run June 4–Aug. 10, and students will receive a stipend of $2,300 for their participation. Visit the website for additional information and online application, or contact Betsy Banks.
