Now in its second year, the Case Western Reserve University STEM Faculty Journal Club is focused on increasing recruitment and retention of historically disenfranchised populations in STEM disciplines.
The first meeting of the spring 2022 semester will take place Thursday, Jan. 20, from noon to 1 p.m. The meeting will be hosted by the School of Medicine and vice dean of diversity and inclusion, Blanton Tolbert.
Attendees will discuss readings from the New England Journal of Medicine with topics including aversive racism in academic medicine, closing the gender pay gap, and race and ethnicity in clinical care presentations.
