The CWRU Film Society invites all campus community members to join in viewing La Haine, the last free February movie screerning, in honor of Black History Month. The showing will take place Saturday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium.
Synopsis
The day after a serious riot, Vinz, Hubert and Saïd wander the streets of Paris. After an incident the day before, the police assaulted a friend of theirs in custody, and tensions between police and the migrants and working-class residents of the Paris suburbs had increased. It’s the story of a man who falls from a 50-story building. As he falls, he repeats over and over to reassure himself: “So far so good, so far so good, so far so good.” But it’s not the fall that’s important—it’s the landing.
