The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will offer “Iconic American Jewish Leaders,” a remote course led by Brian Amkraut, executive director of Siegal Lifelong Learning.
“Iconic American Jewish Leaders” will give a close look at four individuals who helped shape both the lives of American Jews and the broader American society in which they lived. We will explore their basic biographies as well as the lasting impact their legacies had on both Jewish and American history.
This course will examine the lives of:
- Louis Brandeis, a Zionist activist and former Supreme Court justice;
- Henrietta Szold, founder of Hadassah;
- A.J. Heschel, a philosopher and civil rights leader; and
- M. M. Schneerson, Lubavitcher Rebbe.
