Show off your collection of books or other materials for a chance to win up to $1,000

Do you collect books or manuscripts? How did you get started, and why do you collect what you have chosen to collect? If you have a collection of 10 or more books or materials that share a unifying theme, consider entering the Kelvin Smith Library Student Book Collecting Contest for a chance to win up to $1,000.

Those who would like to participate must submit a 500- to 1,500-word essay describing the theme of their collection, along with an annotated bibliography of their books or materials.

Students who enter will be considered for one of the following prizes:

  • First place: $1,000
  • Second place: $500
  • Third place: $250
