Share your thoughts on conservation for The Observer’s Climate Action Essay Contest

The Observer is holding a Climate Action Essay Contest, open to all Case Western Reserve University undergraduate and graduate students. The prompt is “It is true that we only have one Earth, but what makes it worth conserving?”

Submissions should be 500–1,000 words, in Times New Roman, size 12 font, and double spaced. 

The Observer’s editorial board will select the top three submissions and publish them in the Oct. 6 issue during Climate Action Week.

Prizes also will be awarded: 

  • First place: $100 Amazon gift card
  • Second place: $75 Amazon gift card
  • Third place: $50 Amazon gift card

Submissions should be emailed in .pdf format to ssw61@case.edu by Oct. 1 at 11:59 p.m.
