As part of New Student Orientation, all incoming first-year students can participate in the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning’s annual “CWRU Connects: Serving our City” Thursday, Aug. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
CWRU Connects allows members of the Class of 2018 to get to know each other and the Cleveland community by volunteering at local nonprofits and schools throughout the city. Students can choose from more than 40 service projects, including making crafts with kids at the Cleveland Clinic, sorting donations at the Cleveland Food Bank, maintaining trails at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and many more.
Students can register through the New Student Checklist by Aug. 1 for the project that interests them most.
More information and a description of the projects are available at students.case.edu/civicengagement/service/cwruconnects.html.
