This week’s Connect Photo featured Pima, a sculpture by Arthur Gibbons on the lawn near Crawford Hall.
The aluminum structure, installed in 1993, is part of the university’s Putnam Collection.
Gibbons has two other works in the Putnam Collection: Oeccan (1990) and Avignon (1997).
Pima and Avignon are both part of Gibbons’s pedestal series, works that incorporate the base as a key feature of the piece, rather than just a support.
