Researchers at Case Western Reserve University are looking for teens ages 14-17 who struggle with anxiety in social situations, constant worries and/or depression to participate in a study.
The goal of this study is to learn more about the effectiveness of an improv group course helping adolescents with elevated anxiety and depression. The study will utilize improv, the theatrical art of performance and storytelling without a script.
Participants will engage in 12 weeks of guided improv plus evidence-based techniques to reduce anxiety and depression. Each teen and their respective parent/guardian will also be asked to complete a survey and an interview at the beginning and end of the study. Each family will be paid for their time.
