Karen Beckwith, the Flora Stone Mather Professor of Political Science, recently gave a talk at the Scottish Parliament Women’s Dinner, during Scottish Trade Union Week. Her talk was titled “Current Issues in the US Labor Movement.”
At the event, she was introduced by Elaine Smith, who is a deputy presiding officer of the Scottish Parliament.
Beckwith earned a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award for the spring 2014 semester and is at University of Edinburgh for her project, “What’s New? Institutional Transformation and Women’s Political Representation.”
