The Players’ Theatre Group will host a production of Constellations by Nick Payne this weekend.
Directed by Jonah Roth, performances will be held in Eldred Black Box Friday, Dec. 8, and Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance Saturday at 3 p.m. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the show’s start time.
There is a $5 suggested donation; Venmo will be accepted. Donations collected at this show will support Mike Schmidt, JP Peralta’s uncle, who is undergoing chemotherapy at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center.
Description of the production
Scientist Marianne meets beekeeper Roland at a party. They hit it off and go out for a drink, or maybe they don’t. Maybe they fall madly in love and get married. Or maybe they end up engaged to other people. Maybe they live happily ever after. Maybe they end up making life’s hardest decisions together, or maybe they end up as total strangers.
Inspired by string theory, Constellations is a multi-dimensional story of love and loss that asks just how much of our lives are written in the stars.
