Allen Foster, a PhD student in the Department of Physics, recently discussed his research in Antarctica in an episode of the “This Is Physics” podcast. Alongside fellow researcher Thomas Leps, Foster described their work with telescopes observing the cosmic microwave background.
Foster and Leps have spent the entire polar night at the Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station to work on their research.
