“Philanthropy 101: How to Raise Money for a Cause You Care About”

Are you interested in giving back to the community? Do you have philanthropic passions you would like to pursue further, but you are not quite sure how to do so? The Center for Civic Engagement and Learning’s (CCEL) Student Executive Council will host a seminar in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University Annual Giving and Lambda Eta Mu to teach tips on how to  raise money for a cause you care about. This information session, titled “Philanthropy 101: How to Raise Money for a Cause You Care About” will be held Friday, Nov. 22, from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center, Senior Classroom B.

As a special bonus, the student club that brings the most attendees will win $200 to go toward a civic cause they care about. Members must attend the full event, and the winning organization must have a CWRU speedtype where the funds will be journaled.
