The Siegal Lifelong Learning Center will host a panel discussion concerning the effects of the Opportunity Corridor project, which began construction last summer.
“Opportunity Corridor—Will the opportunity be realized?” will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center. The discussion will be moderated by Steven Litt, who reports on art, architecture, urban design and city planning for The Plain Dealer.
The Opportunity Corridor provides a connection between the west and east sides through neighborhoods that would benefit from economic renewal. Panelists will discuss the effects that the corridor might have.
Panelists will include:
Chris Alvarado, executive director of the Slavic Village Development;
Freddy L. Collier, director of the City Planning Commission City of Cleveland;
Chris Ronayne, president of University Circle Inc.; and
Denise VanLeer, executive director of the Fairfax Renaissance.
