Office of Faculty Development invites volunteers to attend Annual New Faculty Picnic

The Office of Faculty Development invites faculty members to attend the Annual New Faculty Picnic to help welcome new faculty to the community. Hosted for 22 years by the Newcomers Committee, the annual picnic is now a program of the Office of Faculty Development.

The Newcomers is a volunteer group comprised of faculty members and their spouses/partners, who attend events and answer questions about the campus, University Circle cultural institutions, Greater Cleveland and other topics to help new faculty members and their families transition to Case Western Reserve. The Annual New Faculty Picnic, which follows new faculty orientation each year, is at Squire Valleevue Farm in Hunting Valley.

Faculty members who would like to volunteer to attend this fun family picnic or future Newcomer events can contact Amanda Shaffer, director of the Office of Faculty Development, at FacDev@case.edu or 216.368.8874, by Friday, Aug. 15.
