Rosa K. Hand, associate professor in the Department of Nutrition, recently began a one-year term as chair of the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the national credentialing agency for registered dietitians. Her term began June 1.
CDR protects the public by overseeing 10 separate credentialing programs, held by 115,000 credentialed practitioners. Hand was first elected to CDR in June 2021, and was subsequently elected by fellow commissioners to the position of chair.
