The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program’s Northeast Ohio Public Policy Forums series continues Tuesday, Aug. 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
The top of the event will be “The Election for Mayor: a discussion about the future of Cleveland.”
The city of Cleveland finds itself at a critical juncture in 2017. The upcoming mayoral and council elections in September (primary) and November (general) offer the public a virtually unprecedented choice of candidates in almost every ward of the city. This forum will address the critical issues and positions that have been staked out by the major candidates.
The panelists will be:
- Tom Beres, a retired reporter with WKYC-TV;
- Michael Nelson, president of the Cleveland NAACP; and
- Chris Quinn, editor and president at Advance Ohio.
Leila Atassi, a reporter at The Plain Dealer, will moderate the discussion.
Registration for this free event is available online.
