Nominate students and programs for the Dr. Dorothy Pijan Student Leadership Awards

The Dr. Dorothy Pijan Student Leadership Awards celebrate the dedication, impact and leadership of students, organizations, programs, and advisors at Case Western Reserve University. Established in 1986 by Dorothy Pijan, the university’s former director of Thwing Center and Student Activities, these awards honor those who go above and beyond to enhance campus life. Pijan, a nationally respected leader in student affairs, was known for her passion and commitment to student leadership. After her passing in 2003, the awards were renamed in her honor, ensuring her legacy continues.

This year, more than 20 different awards will be presented at the Student Leadership Awards Ceremony on April 22 as part of CWRU Legacy Week, recognizing excellence in areas such as organizational leadership, community engagement, innovation and mentorship.

Nominations are open to students, faculty, and staff and can be submitted through the nomination form. To nominate a deserving individual, program, or organization, simply select an award, provide the nominee’s name, and share why they should be recognized. The process takes about 10 minutes, and nominations must be submitted by March 2.
