Bon Appétit Management Co. will launch a new Asian café in Tinkham Veale University Center Monday, Aug. 26. Miso will launch at the university as a direct result of feedback from the student food forums held on campus last year. The student food forums gave students a chance to provide input to both campus chefs and Bon Appétit and Case Western Reserve University management.
The concept will feature regionally inspired lo mein and rice entrees with a choice of orange chicken, pepper steak, Kung Pao tofu or the featured seafood special. There also will be a build-your-own ramen option. Guests will be able to select their own protein and noodle type, and will have the option to add an array of side dishes, such as egg rolls, edamame salad, cucumber salad, rice, and more.
Miso will replace the Naan station at the Tinkham Veale University Center and will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For those who enjoyed Naan, Indian dishes will still be cycled through the Pinza daily specials.
