“Mindfulness and Digital Health for Health Promotion in Underserved Populations”

The Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods (PRCHN) will host its next seminar series event Wednesday, April 10, at noon via Zoom. Claire Spears, associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Behavioral Sciences at Georgia State University, will present “Mindfulness and Digital Health for Health Promotion in Underserved Populations.”

This presentation will focus on mindfulness and its relevance to health promotion in underserved populations, as well as the concept of digital health equity and key strategies for making mindfulness accessible to diverse populations. The presentation will include emerging research on developing and evaluating digital health interventions for scalable, just-in-time interventions to encourage mindfulness for managing stress and quitting smoking.
