The Case Western Reserve University Wellness Team invite students, faculty and staff to participate in one of four 20-minute experiences focused on deep breathing and meditation.
The Midday Getaway for Wellness event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 11, from noon to 2 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom C. Grab a light lunch or snack and step into the ballroom to relax and refresh with presentations from Heidi Weiker and Dawn Miller from University Hospitals’ Connor Integrative Health Network. Experiences begin on the half hour starting at noon.
During Weiker’s noon and 1 p.m. presentations, attendees will practice breathing deeply to activate and stimulate calmness. They will learn easy tools to incorporate into daily living.
Then in Miller’s 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. sessions, attendees will work through simple movement, conscious regulation of the breath and meditation to bring inner calm.
Reservations are not required, but doors will be closed during each 20-minute session so participants may fully experience the program without interruption.
