Sarah Tyler Plummer, associate professor, and Shanail Berry Lampkin, assistant professor, both of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine recently joined Cardi-OH Radio for a discussion on cardiovascular risk factors for children and adolescents.
The two spoke on “Podcast 51 – Preventing Cardiovascular Disease in Youth,” hosted by the Ohio Cardiovascular and Diabetes Health Collaborative (Cardi-OH). In the podcast, Tyler Plummer and moderator Berry Lampkin explored how hypertension and hyperlipidemia contribute to cardiometabolic disease, shared strategies for diagnosis and management—including in-office and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring—and discussed the importance of family-centered lifestyle interventions.
