Yahoo: Ryan Marino, assistant professor at the School of Medicine, explained the body’s reaction to coming in contact with sea lice—often invisible larva—which can lead to a rash similar to an allergic reaction. “If there is any concern for a more severe reaction, like trouble breathing, vomiting or changes in level of consciousness, then emergency medical attention is warranted,” he said. “When in doubt, or when symptoms are anything more than mild, seeking medical attention is the best bet.”
