The Scientist: Jeff Coller, associate professor in the Division of General Medical Sciences and associate director of The Center for RNA Molecular Biology, discussed a recent study out of the University of Maryland about arrest in mRNA sequence. “There’s a growing body of evidence to suggest that there can be significant pauses in translational elongation,” he said.
