The Mindfulness Matters faculty group is marking Mindfulness Matters Week Oct. 14–18. Today (Oct. 16), the group will host a live mindfulness activity via Zoom from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
Anju Kotwani, a graduate of the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, will lead the activity. Kotwani has experience working in community mental health settings with individuals with severe mental illnesses, including mood disorders and schizophrenia, as well as working with clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD and ADHD. She focuses on using mindfulness-based techniques ranging from breathing techniques, to object meditation and body scan, to guided imagery in order to help people connect with the present moment.
