Learn more about caring for elderly loved ones

Learning how to navigate the maze of eldercare needs for family members and friends can be stressful. Topics such as insurance, dementia, communication strategies and others can be challenging to deal with. To help Case Western Reserve University faculty and staff members navigate these challenges, the Wellness Program will offer a nine-week eldercare series.

Professional eldercare experts will share information to keep in mind when eldercare is necessary.

The series will be composed of the following sessions:

  • March 22: “Medicare 101”
  • March 29: “Successfully Navigating the Eldercare Maze”
  • April 5: “Elder Orphans”
  • April 12: “Bridging the Communication Gap Between Family Members”
  • April 19: “Basics of Estate Planning”
  • April 26: “Suicide and the Elderly”
  • May 3: “Differentiating Dementias”
  • May 10: “Legal and Financial Considerations for the Caregiver”
  • May 17: “Aging with a Plan: How a Little Thought Today Can Vastly Improve Your Tomorrow”

Each session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom. Register to participate.
