The Case Western Reserve University Farm will host Fridays at the Silo June 7, 14, 21 and 28 and July 12 and 19 from 3 to 7 p.m. (rain or shine) at Valley Ridge Farm (off Chagrin River Road, between Fairmount Boulevard and Cedar Road).
Guests can visit the Silo Theater to learn about academics, research and educational endeavors at the University Farm, or they can stroll around the food program’s gardens. Visitors also can learn about beekeeping, hydroponics and mushroom programs or sign up for onsite continuing education classes, such as poetry and nature, nature walks, bird watching, beekeeping, growing your own food and outdoor painting. In addition, they can walk along the historical Wade grape arbor and learn about the farm’s ecology research. There also will be educational activities for children.
No admission fee is required. This series of events is open to all Case Western Reserve faculty, staff, students and alumni.
