Storytelling fosters individual and collective well-being and has the power to change lives. Not only is using strategic storytelling skills a powerful communication tactic, but it also enhances belonging within groups and strengthens the ties that bind individuals together.
Case Western Reserve University faculty and staff members are invited to learn from master storyteller Matthew Dicks, author of Storyworthy, Someday is Today and Stories Sell.
Dicks will lead participants in the “Building Community, Connections, and Personal Healing Through Storytelling” program to inspire them to tell great stories while exploring their lives more deeply and forming relationships with workshop colleagues.
Participants will learn how to be a good storyteller and experience the many ways storytelling can improve their lives.
The series will be held Thursdays from Sept. 19 to Nov. 7 (no class Sept. 26) from 4 to 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. The last half hour each week will be an optional Q&A session.
This program will count toward the Community Well-being Program Incentive category for the Wellness Program.
