Can sustainable farming feed America? Find out through the screening of the documentary film American Meat on Tuesday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium.
American Meat is a pro-farmer look at cattle, hog, and chicken production in the U.S.
Following the film, there will be an interactive panel moderated by Debbi Snook, The Plain Dealer’s food reporter. Panelists will include chef Douglas Katz, North Union Farmers’ Market founder Mary Holmes, Bon Appétit fellow S.K. Piper, CWRU farm horticulturist Christopher Bond, Miller Livestock Farm owners Aaron and Melissa Miller, and American Meat director Graham Meriwether.
The event, hosted by Bon Appétit Management Company, is free and open to the public. A light reception featuring local food will take place prior to the screening.
