Northeast Ohio competes for $160 million grant to drive advanced manufacturing: Mission Possible
WKYC: Michael Oakes, senior vice president for research and technology management, discussed a potential new grant as a catalyst for sustainable manufacturing in Northeast Ohio. He highlighted partnerships, including NEO SMART and Akron’s Tech Hub, to drive innovation, create jobs, and develop greener materials, ensuring growth even without funding. “If we can bring all of these players together, which is the point of this NSF Engines, we can make amazing things happen to create products that will run the next 50 years of the world,” he said.
