With threat of COVID on the decline, out-of-pocket costs for testing, treatment expected to rise

Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, said that now that the COVID-19 public health emergency has been declared over, Ohioans without insurance can expect to bear the costs of tests, vaccines and treatment. “More out-of-pocket expenses,” she said. “There are no more free COVID tests and your insurance may or may not cover them.”
