Insulin would cost $35 max under proposed Ohio bill
WEWS: Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, discussed newly introduced, bi-partisan legislation in the Ohio Statehouse that would cap the costs of the life-saving medication insulin to $35. Medication prices are rising, but the need for the drugs hasn’t changed, she said. “(Pharmaceutical companies) worry about whether or not they’ll be able to remain profitable if we have a trend of increasing price limitations,” she added.
