In January, many people look to develop healthy habits. Throughout the year, the Wellness Program offers opportunities for faculty and staff to establish and build upon such habits. This month, we will highlight some of the categories offered through the Wellness Program, which gives wellness incentive participants the chance to earn up to $200 extra annually. Wellness participants are those faculty and staff who are enrolled in Benelect and who receive the $25 monthly Wellness Premium Incentive.
The Financial Well-being component of the Wellness Program Incentive can help give faculty and staff a better idea of how to budget finances—whether they’re looking to get control of their month-to-month expenses or get on track for retirement.
Wellness participants can earn the incentive in the Financial Well-being category by participating in a multi-session program on financial management.
On-site offerings for this category are:
- “Financial Wellness 101,” which helps participants develop an investment strategy to reduce financial stress;
- “Financial Wellness 201,” which includes information on paying off debt and the workings of Social Security; and
- “Fiscally Fit,” offered in conjunction with the university’s retirement partners, TIAA and Vanguard, which details information about retirement plans and programs at CWRU.
TIAA and Vanguard also offer free webinars for faculty and staff throughout the year.
Check back to the Wellness Program website and The Daily for more information about upcoming offerings.
