This month, Case Western Reserve University hosted its annual homecoming celebration, bringing together students, families and alumni on campus. In honor of the many graduates who have helped shape the university and their respective industries, we will highlight a few of our outstanding alumni this month.
Rich Sommer (GRS ’04, theater) is among Case Western Reserve University’s most recognizable alumni, due in large part to his role on Mad Men.
From 2007 to 2015, Sommer stared as Harry Crane in the AMC drama about a 1960s New York City advertising agency.
Prior to Mad Men, Sommer had a role in box-office hit The Devil Wears Prada.
He’s had several other TV roles, including in GLOW, two versions of Wet Hot American Summer and Elena of Avalor, in which he is the voice of Captain Daniel Turner/Daniel Turner.
Sommer also has been credited for guest roles in several TV shows, including The Office, Law & Order and Grey’s Anatomy.
