The Cuyahoga County Youth Work Institute (CCYWI) has created and launched a week-long social media campaign in honor of World Teen Mental Wellness Day.
In 2020, the Hollister Confidence Project founded World Teen Mental Wellness Day to be observed annually on March 2. This day is dedicated to encouraging teens and those who work with teens around the world to practice self-care, be kind to themselves and disrupt the stigma around mental wellness.
Mental health struggles make up 16% of diseases and injuries in people aged 10 to 19. Normalizing conversations about mental health can assist in creating nonjudgmental, safe spaces for teens and youth development professionals alike.
Join the CCYWI in recognizing this day and promoting educational materials relating to mental wellness. For more information, visit the CCYWI Instagram page (@ccywi.oh) or visit the CCYWI website.
