The number of transfer and nontraditional undergraduate students at Case Western Reserve University has been growing in recent years. In recognition of this change, CWRU has formed a new student organization dedicated to serving the needs of students in those populations. The Alliance for Nontraditional and Transfer Students (ANTS) was created to recognize the contributions that transfer and nontraditional students bring to the community and to make these students feel welcome.
“Being a nontraditional older student can be a lonely and confusing experience, so creating an environment or a group that eases that discomfort is important,” said Dora Lake, president of ANTS at CWRU.
The next ANTS gathering will be held Friday, March 8, at 11 a.m. in Guilford House, Dining Room. Coffee and bagels will be provided by the Cleveland Humanities Collaborative.
